MORNING BOOSTER SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
Peach Yogurt Cantaloupe
Grapefruit Chia Seed
Frozen Berries Spinach
Frozen Berries Spinach
Orange Juice Golden Flaxseed
Mango Juice Banana
When it comes to measuring out ingredients, I pretty much just go with the flow. You honestly really can't mess up when it comes to ingredients. But if you do mess up... there will be better days.
Grapefruits are low in calories and full of nutrients. They support clear and healthy skin, heart health, and weight loss.
NOTE TO SELF: Beware of the spewing grapefruit juices. It goes everywhere. Especially the eye balls.
Spinach is also great in these super smoothies; it's a major source of fiber, so extra kudos for some mighty fine poops! Additionally, cantaloupe is an awesome ingredient, beneficial for skin, hair, and digestion. Killem!
Organic Chia Seeds are my new favorite thing. It contains healthy omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium, so, it's pretty darn good for you. Just plop in a spoonful or two of these seeds in your shake to get your healthy on.
I also added golden flax seed (as seen in the picture above on the right), it is sometimes recognized as one of the most powerful plant foods on the planet, preventing risk of cancer, diabetes, and inflammation. Buy yourself a bag of ground flaxseed, and don't be afraid to sprinkle it on anything. It's good for you! Embrace the healthy.

If you LOVE a good shake, definitely look into buying yourself a wonderful NutriBullet. Its size is perfect, especially in a dorm room, it's low maintenance, and great quality.
NOTE TO SELF: Do NOT twist the cap too tight. There was a major struggle in my attempt to twist off the cap, and the feeling of seeing my smoothie locked in the cup was just so, so sad.
Having a bangin' fruit shake is one of the best ways to start your morning. It really gets you energized and it definitely brightens up your day. Plus, nothing is more hipster artsy than a smoothie in a tumbler.
PB & GRANOLA TOAST
Ingredients:
Whole Wheat Bread
Banana
Pumpkin Flax Granola
Peanut Butter
Along side my smoothie, I made toast with peanut butter, granola flax, and banana. Usually, I'll use avocado, but as a college student with limited resources, I'll shoot for the next best thing.
Pumpkin Flax Granola is SO GOOD OMG I CAN'T EVEN. The mix is filled with all healthy stuff, so I basically put it in just about everything. It's full of pumpkin (perfect for this season) and flaxseed, making it a great source of Omega-3.
I hope you enjoy your morning - I definitely did! Keep spreading the good vibes and stay positive! There are great things coming your way. Get off that Netflix, breathe the fresh air, get active and enjoy all that life offers. Don't forget to smile and laugh, whether it's at yourself or at life in general. LIFE IS AWESOME. YOU ARE AWESOME. STAY AWESOME.
Big thanks to my roomie, Mikayla, for her awesome NutriBullet and her mighty fine photography skills, and thanks to my father for being the biggest hipster ever. Ya'll rock!
For the praise of His glory,
XOXO Gracie
