Fall Lookbook: 3 Things I've Learned This Semester

Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.

1)  FAILURE
"Courage doesn't always roar.  Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow'."
It's so easy to come face to face with failure or trials and feel the urge to run far away.  But there's something quite amazing about picking yourself back up, knowing you may or may not fall down again.  Keep on keeping on; failure is just a wonderful lesson of humility.

2)  GENTLENESS
"Be gentle with yourself. You're doing the best you can."
Too many times I beat myself up for mistakes, to the point when I don't feel worthy enough, good enough, or capable enough to achieve anything.  I will forgive myself, and I will move on.  Sometimes all it takes is a leap into comfortable blankets, some hot tea, and a reminder that I tried my best and everything will be okay.

3) COMMITMENT
"You are what you do, not what you say you'll do."
C.S. Lewis says it plain clear.  It's so easy to fall into a vision of self improvement but never persist to truly pursue those dreams. "Dreams are free.  Hustle is sold separately."  I have learned to work on myself daily - physically, mentally, emotionally, academically, spiritually.  It's been a challenge for sure, but one thing I know is that seeing the rewards of your studies, your craft, your plans, takes patience and hard work.

Wherever you are in life, always remember you are learning new things everyday, and relearning things to grow even more.  Live well and spread the love.

For the Praise of His Glory,
XOXO Gracie
