Gracie's Review: Metropolitan Bakery

METROPOLITAN BAKERY
262 South 19th Street

Hey friends! I recently visited this lovely bakery in Rittenhouse Square and it was absolutely delightful.  The bakery is known for their artisan cheeses and Metro breads.  If you're ever around the area definitely check it out! The quaint environment is down-to-earth and I definitely enjoyed the quiet peacefulness of the community.

BAKERY LAYOUT
All in all, the bakery had a lovely vibe, although I'm sure it could improve in its bakery layout, maybe some more wall decor and little tables would suffice.  I did love the wooden tables outside and the rustic bench indoors.  It's a pretty small space actually, but I think it gives the bakery a homey feel.  The light fixtures and wood decor really gave this place life.

FOOD
The food was splendid - top notch, reasonably priced, authentic.   Service was great and food didn't take too long to come out.  Solid work, metro!

Pesto Grilled Cheese:  Holy bejeezus.  The quality bread was grilled perfectly and the pesto was authentic.  Definitely yes!
Breakfast Egg Sandwich: SO GOOD! The croissant-like bread was so rich and the combo of potatoes, tomatoes, egg, and spinach were on point.  It really filled me up with the perfect serving size.
Chicken Pot Pie: This looked really lovely, and the oven baking technique was pretty solid.  Go team!
Mocha: This could've been better! Tasted a little watered down, while also being pricey for its size.  I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for tuning in! I encourage you all to travel and experience all this world has to offer!
Live well and spread the love,
For the Praise of His Glory,
XOXO Gracie
