I. SLOW KINGDOM COMING
Sometimes the neurotic, Type A side of Gracie comes out when I start to have visions and dreams, causing my brain to blow up and believe that all these goals will and have to be achieved now and quickly. But big dreams and big goals take time to mature. They are in need of constant refining and slow, but steady work. I'm thankful for the ambition, but I'm also blessed to learn patience and practice. Fruit doesn't come instantly, good things take time.
THRIFTED: Coat by Paparazzi
Such a whimsical and unique piece, no way I could leave without it! This was found at Keswick's Thrift Shop - a small and delightful shop living in the duel retreat and rehabilitation center, America's Keswick. All proceeds go to the Colony of Mercy, Keswick's addiction recovery program.
III. GIVING
You can never become poor by giving. - Anne Frank
A major blind spot in my faith and lifestyle has been my hesitance to give - whether that meant giving my time, my physical or emotional care, my money. I'm now in the process of learning how to give and it's been such a blessing. Love the poor, listen to the stories of your brothers and sisters from all different cultures, serve those in need and love on all human beings. By this, we live in hope.
THRIFTED: Black Mandarin Chinese Dress
I turned it into a cardigan-type styled piece. The movement of the flowy fabric is so beautiful. This was also found at Keswick's Thrift Shop.
III. HUMILITY
Capability and servanthood is only manifested through the sheer strength of my Father. Only in Him, I can do all things. I used to think I could do it all, I could carry my own burdens and be the best at everything I do. But I've been cut of my pride and I've never felt so free. Jesus's example of humility displayed a king living and walking as a servant. I want to live with that kind of humility.
THRIFTED: Vintage 60's Dress
This dress was thrifted in Jim Thorpe, PA, a small, beautiful, and quaint town with the BEST thrift stores and little shops you could ask for. We found a small store that was selling 50s-70s vintage pieces and picked this unique dress up.
I hope you enjoyed this jam packed post! Stay tuned for more good stuff on the way.
Live well and spread the love!
For the praise of His glory,
XOXO Gracie
