Hello! Welcome! Howdy! Today I would like to show you my little vintage collection of different garments and pieces I've found while rummaging through old boxes in my basement. Both my parents are in the fashion industry so there were bound to be wonderful treasures awaiting in the deep dusty closet, ready to be worn once again after a long, long break.
Here are some of the items I picked up that I just adore.
This is a 1990s Calvin Klein denim jacket with a creme colored buttoned top from Colovos. The bottom of the shirt has a beaded embellishment spelling out "love" which I thought made this piece stand out. My dad was a technical designer for Calvin Klein, so 15 years later, I enjoy this splendid abundance of authentic Calvin Klein denim. It's the real stuff, man. On the other hand, my mom worked for a company that produced garments for Colovos, a brand designed by Michael Colovos who now designs for Helmut Lang. My mom always came home wearing so many unique pieces from the brand. These companys' garments are both genuine and very good quality.
My dad also took some time working for Pepe Jeans, so my parents would shop a lot there. The London-based brand creates quality pieces that have a simplistic aesthetic, making the designs minimalist and original.
This is some of the jewelry my mother rediscovered while looking through little containers from her high school era. After school, she would walk to a jewelry shop close by and purchase these little knick knacks. Now, the 80s are long gone, but these pieces are definitely still in style.
The necklace on the left is purely from the 80s, I call them my chainz. It mixes gold and silver to create this hardcore sheek statement necklace. The middle one brings out this jaded green color that makes any outfit look genuine, and the necklace on the right is an iconic pearl necklace perfect for a classy evening out.
There's more to come! Thanks for sharing this wonderful collection with me. <3
